What a Weekend in Windsor! by Natasha Hills

Thursday, July 18, 2013

After travelling for just over an hour and a half we found ourselves at the entrance to the Mercure Windsor Castle Hotel, what a sight, a beautiful traditional building with balconies and large windows. From the front the hotel looked quite large, but once we walked through the door it was even more grand and spacious than expected, kind of like a tardis, with the added benefit of a well appointed car park. We were welcomed warmly at the reception desk when we checked in. In my opinion first impressions …

A Classic Country Stay at Bartley Lodge by Tara Anderson

Monday, July 1, 2013

After a long day in the office my colleague and I from Brief2Event and Square Events arrived at Bartley Lodge Hotel. We were greeted by a long, sweeping driveway that perfectly set up the country manor feel of the building itself our check-in was very fast, we were both delighted with the room we were staying in, very clean, modern but still within keeping with the country manor feel.

Shortly afterwards we met the lovely Nicki Smith for a drinks reception and a show round. The Baronial Hall is an …

‘MAC’nificent Charity Event – by Natasha Hills

Monday, June 24, 2013

The ‘MAC’nificent charity weekend organisers (Russ and Denise) attended the Square Events familiarisation trip at Hellidon Lakes Golf and Spa Hotel. They loved the venue and thought it would be ideal for the charity weekend that they are organising, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd September 2013.

Russ and Craig (brothers in law) take part in the annual Macmillan 4×4 challenge, referred to as the ‘Mac’, partly because they enjoy it so much, but more importantly, because they raise money in aid of …

The New Forest, what an experience. By Natasha Hills

Tuesday, June 11, 2013

The New Forest has so much to offer, a wide variety of hotels, restaurants and cafés. We had an amazing opportunity to experience some of the many different things that can be done in the New Forest, from relaxing in the hotel bar to being on an exhilarating RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) ride.

The New Forest is an ideal location for a Masonic Ladies’ festival, although there are a few hotels in the area that are unsuitable due to size and/or price, they are all set in beautiful surroundings and

A night in the forest at the Elmers Court Hotel, Lymington by Natasha Hills

Wednesday, May 29, 2013

From walking through the door we were made to feel special, the information given by reception while checking in was concise, we were made aware of the arrangements for dinner, when, where and whom we would be meeting. We were also told exactly how to get to our room, but the events coordinator then arrived to show us the way, which was helpful as we did have to leave the main hotel building to get to the blocks where the hotel bedrooms were situated.

The room was really well decorated,

What a week! My first week working for Square Events and Perfect Weekend, my first Masonic Lodge Ladies Weekend experience, my first site visit to a hotel, well I suppose there is a first time for everything.

Dinner at Lainston House by Tara Anderson

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

What a lovely evening that was hosted for Brief2Event and Square Events Management by the 5 Star, Exclusive Hotel Lainston House. Lainston House is a 17th century country house standing in 63 acres of beautiful Hampshire countryside. Perhaps the most spectacular view is from the hotel bar as the lawn stretches pristinely into the distance along a tree lined avenue.

Onsite they have a wonderful kitchen garden where they grow and use all their own fresh ingredients, the different aroma’s you get walking through is just out of this …

Spending time in the garden (of England)

Thursday, November 10, 2011

Following on from Square Events busiest ever month for Masonic Ladies Festivals I thought it was time for a mini-break to relax and recharge the batteries. Always on the lookout for suitable hotels for Lodge Ladies Weekends I had decided to visit the QHotels properties Bridgewood Manor and Ashford International.

Due to crazy parking prices in Brighton Lodges looking for suitable Masonic Ladies Weekend venues have started to look elsewhere in the South East and with Kent being the ‘Garden of England’, with great shopping and plenty of history …

Square Events night at the Langstone Hotel

Monday, October 10, 2011

The Square Events Management team had the pleasure of staying at The Langstone Hotel on Hayling Island a few weeks ago, where we were given a really warm welcome and the opportunity to view how well the hotel could accommodate the perfect Masonic Ladies’ Festival.

Upon arrival we were shown to the hotel’s spacious bar, the perfect place to meet for a pre-dinner drink. We were immediately able to envisage how Masonic guests on a Ladies’ Festival Weekend would be able to come here to relax and mingle with …
